Jenny S. Martinez (born November 5, 1971) is an American legal scholar and Stanford University's 14th provost.

She is the author of The Slave Trade, The Origins of International Human Rights Law (Oxford University Press, 2012).

After law school, she clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer,[4] Judge Patricia Wald of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia,[5] and Judge Guido Calabresi of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
