It is located on Route 3, approximately 25 kilometres (15.5 miles) west of Halifax.

Parking areas and drive-in picnic sites are conveniently located close to all facilities, including a barrier-free vault toilet.

Thanks to Lawrence's vision many of the park's features make the area more accessible for all visitors.

[2] Jerry Lawrence Provincial Park was established by Order in Council (OIC) 77-82 on January 25, 1977.
