Jo-Jo Moore

Joe Gregg Moore, Sr. (December 25, 1908 – April 1, 2001) was a left fielder in Major League Baseball who played his entire career with the New York Giants from 1930 through 1941.

Underrated because he was overshadowed by more colorful teammates, Moore was a fixture for the Giants in left field.

He appeared in three World Series (1933, 1936–37), and six times was named to the National League All-Star team (1934–38 and 1940).

He played full-time in the 1942 and 1943 seasons for the Indianapolis Indians of the Minor League Baseball American Association.

After his baseball career, he returned to Gause, Texas and raised cattle.
