[1] He helped them reach bowl games in all of his seasons with the school and Syracuse had consecutive 10–2 records and top-10 rankings in Wooden's last two years.

[3] Wooden was signed by the Phoenix Cardinals as an undrafted free agent following the 1993 NFL draft, but did not make the final roster.

[4] After being released by the Cardinals, Wooden joined Simsbury High School as an assistant coach, working with the linebackers and running backs.

[6] He then served for a time as an assistant coach of the NCAA Division II American International Yellow Jackets.
