Joan Ribó Canut (Valencian: [dʒuˈan riˈboj kaˈnut]; born 17 September 1947) is a Spanish politician and engineer who was the mayor of Valencia from 2015 to 2023.

Ribó was born on 17 September 1947 in Manresa in the Province of Barcelona.

[1] He studied agricultural engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

[1] Ribó later worked as a school teacher and university professor.

[1] In 2007 he left the party and in 2011 he became politically active again when he joined Coalició Compromís.
