He played in Major League Baseball as a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds during the mid-1970s.

[6][7] Henderson played parts of three seasons in the major leagues, in 1974 with the Chicago White Sox and in 1976 and 1977 with the Cincinnati Reds, exclusively as a pitcher.
