Joey Concepcion (born December 23, 1990) is an American guitarist, best known as a member of the melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, which he joined in 2023.
As stated on his personal website, Concepcion made his musical debut at the age of 17 when he was invited for a guest appearance on Michael Vescera's solo album Sign of Things to Come (2008) - on the track "Something to Believe".
Concepcion first performed with Arch Enemy in 2018, at the Summer Breeze Open Air and Elbriot festivals as a temporary fill-in guitarist for Jeff Loomis.
[6] In 2022 and 2023, Concepcion took on the temporary role as a guitarist in the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity.
[7][8] Concepcion became a permanent member of Arch Enemy in 2023 following Loomis' 'amicable' departure from the band, which was announced on 30 December 2023.
