John J. Carton

John Jay Carton (November 8, 1856 – August 26, 1934) was the Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1901 to 1904.

Carton was sworn in to the Michigan House of Representatives on January 4, 1899.

[1] From 1907 to 1908, Carton was a delegate to Michigan state constitutional convention from the 13th district.

[2] Carton married Addie C. Pierson on November 22, 1898, in Ukiah, California.
