John Sproule Mills

John Sproule Mills (1887 – October 28, 1972) was an Irish-born politician in Canada.

In 1940, Mills moved to Moose Jaw to teach at the Normal School there, later returning to Saskatoon.

The first traffic lights in the city were installed during his time in office.

[1] He died at the age of 85 on October 28, 1972 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.

[1] Mills Crescent in the Avalon neighbourhood in Saskatoon was named in his honour.
