Jolfa (Persian: جلفا)[a] is a city in the Central District of Jolfa County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.
[4] Jolfa is separated by the Aras River from its namesake, the town of Julfa on the Azerbaijan side of the border.
At the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 4,983 in 1,365 households.
