Jonathan Brash

Jonathan James Frederick Brash[1] is a British Labour Party politician and former teacher who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Hartlepool since 2024.

In a statement, he said: "Being an MP is a full-time job and now that the dust has settled on last month’s General Election, it’s the right time to step down as a councillor.

"[6] In November 2024, Brash voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which proposes to legalise assisted suicide.

He has also taught at Newcastle School for Boys and was also previously the Chairman at Hartlepool Sixth Form College.
