Jonathan Smith (priest)

Jonathan Peter Smith (born 10 November 1955) is an Anglican priest: he was Archdeacon of St Albans[1] from 2008 to 2020.

He graduated from the university in 1977 with a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) degree and the Associateship of King's College (AKC) qualification.

He then undertook teacher training at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 1978.

From 1980 to 1982, he served as an assistant curate at All Saints’ Church, Gosforth, an area of Newcastle upon Tyne.
