José David Name Cardozo (born 18 November 1968) is a Colombian senator.

He is a member of the Party of the U, and is the son of former Senator José Name Terán.

His father, José Name Terán, was a Liberal Senator.

He studied business administration at the Autonomous University of the Caribbean in Barranquilla.

In November 2008, he received death threats after he headed a campaign to restrict the consumption of tobacco in enclosed spaces.
