José Ignacio Hualde is a Spanish linguist specializing in Basque linguistics and in Spanish synchronic and diachronic phonology,[1] professor of linguistics[2][3] in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, and in the Department of Linguistics, at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.
