José Rodríguez Elizondo

José Alejandro Vladimir Rodríguez Elizondo[4] (born 10 June 1936)[1] is a Chilean lawyer and diplomat who was awarded with the National Prize of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2021.

[1][5][6][7][8][9] He finished his Bachelor of Arts in laws in 1960 at the University of Chile,[4] his alma mater.

After that, he based in Peru[10] from 1977 to 1986,[11] where he worked for Caretas magazine[12] alongside figures like the writer Mario Vargas Llosa.

[15] Similarly, he has gained renown through his book «History of the civil-military relationship in Chile»,[16][17][18] work that has been released in interviews like the developed by Tomás Mosciatti in April 2018.
