Josefov (Sokolov District)

Josefov (German: Josefsdorf) is a municipality and village in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic.

Josefov consists of four municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The village was named in honour of its founder, Count Josef von Auersperg.

The village of Josefov was founded in 1833 by Count Josef von Auersperg.

There are two stations serving the municipality: Hřebeny and Luh nad Svatavou.

The most important monument of the municipality is the ruins of the Hartenberg Castle.
