Joseph Lister Memorial

The memorial is positioned in the centre of the road opposite numbers 71 to 81 and is Grade II listed.

[2] The memorial was unveiled by Sir John Bland-Sutton, President of the Royal College of Surgeons, on 13 March 1924.

On top of the base is a bronze bust of Joseph Lister.

[3] A little way to the north in Park Crescent is the 1824 statue of the Duke of Kent, the father of Queen Victoria.
