Joseph W. Furber

Joseph Warren Furber (August 29, 1814 – July 10, 1884) was a Whig politician in Minnesota.

He helped with his family's farm and attended school (including Foxcroft Academy) before moving west in 1838.

He was appointed United States Marshal for Minnesota by President Millard Fillmore during the 1850s and also held positions with the state militia and as a member of the University of Minnesota Board of Regents.

Later in his life, he was elected to two more terms in the Minnesota State House of Representatives in 1868 and 1875.
