[6] In October 2020, in the opening round of the 2020–21 Sheffield Shield season, Inglis scored his maiden first-class century, with 153 not out against South Australia.

[7] In March 2021, Inglis was signed by Leicestershire County Cricket Club to play in the 2021 T20 Blast tournament in England.

[10] In August 2021, Inglis was named in Australia's squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, in his maiden call-up to the national team.

[13] Later the same month, Inglis was named in Australia's One Day International (ODI) squad for their tour of Pakistan.

[20] In July 2024 Inglis was named in Australia’s white ball squad to tour Scotland and England.

[22] Inglis filled in for Pat Cummins as captain of the Australian team in the third ODI against Pakistan on 10 November 2024.
