This is a list of notable characters from the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless that significantly impacted storylines and debuted between January 1980 and December 1989, in order of first appearance.

John eventually saw the pictures, but both Lindsey and Katherine tried to protect him by covering up Jack's face, and resisted any requests to testify at his divorce trial with Jill.

With the Anthony organization destroyed, "Robert" removes his disguise, revealing to a shocked Alana that his real name is Tyrone Jackson and that he is Black.

Joanna Manning went to high school with Neil Fenmore, John Abbott, Dina Mergeron, Stuart Brooks, Suzanne Lynch, Katherine Chancellor and Gary Reynolds.
