Julian Myrick

Julian Southall Myrick (March 1, 1880 – January 4, 1969) was an American insurance salesman and tennis promoter.

He was considered instrumental to the increase in the club's prominence, including its being chosen as the venue of US National Championships (now known as U.S.

[8] He was inducted in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1969 for his contribution to the sport in the United States and his administrative abilities.

[9] Myrick was a lifelong Republican and a strong supporter Herbert Hoover's candidacy for President of the United States.

[10][11] However, during the presidential election in 1920, Myrick supported Democratic candidate James M. Cox for his stand on League of Nations.
