KCKX

This station received its original construction permit for a new 1,000 watt daytime-only AM signal from the Federal Communications Commission on October 11, 1984.

[7] This change would prove short-lived as The Concord Group, Inc., announced an agreement in June 1992 to sell this station to Spotlight Communications, Inc.

Branded as "Ondas de Gozo" (literally, "Waves of Joy"), KCKX was the first Spanish Christian radio station in the state of Oregon.

On June 24, 2014, KCKX changed their format from ESPN Deportes Radio (Spanish language sports) to a simulcast of regional Mexican-formatted KWBY 940 AM Woodburn.

Effective June 22, 2021, Edward Distell sold KCKX and KZGD to Iglesia Pentecostal Vispera del Fin for $70,000.
