It is approximately 40 km from Warangal, and neighboring villages include Parvathagiri, Annaram, Naguram, and Ravuru.

The Hindu temple in Kalleda is called Kolanu Venkateshwara Swamy Devalyam and was built in the 12th century by the Kakatiya dynasty.
