On June 21, 2016, she became the 15th head coach of the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Women's Basketball team.

[1] Prior to her appointment to Western Carolina, she spent two years as an assistant coach at Illinois.

Middleton attended the University of South Carolina and was a four-year letter winner.

Middleton led her team to four NCAA Tournaments (including a Sweet 16 appearance),and was selected twice as GTE Academic All-District.

Conference tournament champion In 1991, Middleton graduated cum laude with a BA, and also earned an Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Physical Education in 1993, both from South Carolina.
