Kate French (modern pentathlete)

Katherine Elizabeth French (born 11 February 1991) is a British former modern pentathlete who won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

[7] At the 2014 World Modern Pentathlon Championships held in Warsaw, Poland, French won two silver medals.

In 2018 French won the silver medal in the individual event at the European Championships held in Székesfehérvár, Hungary.

French was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 New Year Honours for services to modern pentathlon.

[15] She returned to competition in 2024 and on 26 June, she was announced as part of the Great Britain team for the Paris Olympics to be held later that year.
