Katharina Focke (8 October 1922 – 10 July 2016) was a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).
Katharina was the daughter of the publicist and European politician Ernst Friedlaender († 1973) and the doctor Franziska Schulz.
From 1931 to 1934 they lived in Switzerland, and from 1934 to 1945 in Liechtenstein because her father had concerns about returning to Germany in view of the political developments.
Chancellor Willy Brandt selected her to be the Parliamentary Secretary to the Chancellery, where she also dealt with European issues.
[3] In 1972 Focke was put in charge of the Federal Ministry for Youth, Family and Health, a position she held for four years.
