Katie Byres

Katie Byres (born 11 September 1993) is a British former track and field athlete who competed in the pole vault.

She holds a personal best of 4.52 m (14 ft 9+3⁄4 in) for the event, set in Nevers, France on 18 February 2012.

[3] She broke the British under-20 records for pole vault, indoors and outdoors.

[2] In international age category competitions she placed tenth at the 2009 European Youth Olympic Festival,[2] won the B-final of the pole vault at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics,[7] and came ninth at the 2013 European Athletics U23 Championships.

[2] Following her pole vault career, Byres attended Nottingham Trent University, completing a degree in Events Management, and worked for Young Enterprise.
