Kattanam[1] is a village located the in Alappuzha district of the Indian state of Kerala.

It is in the southern part of the country, 2,200 km south of the capital New Delhi.

Kattanam celebrates a lot of Cultural, Religious and Non-Religious festivals and programmes every year.

The parish was established in 1835 and is the largest church in Kattanam, currently serving 8,000 members in over 1,200 families.
