Kazimierza Wielka ([kaʑiˈmʲɛʐa ˈvʲɛlka] ⓘ) is a town in southern Poland, in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, about 45 kilometres (28 miles) northeast of Kraków.
In the Kingdom of Poland, Kazimierza Wielka was located in the Proszowice County in the Krakow Voivodeship in the Lesser Poland Province, while neighboring Kazimierza Mała belonged to Wiślica County of Sandomierz Voivodeship.
In 1918, Poland regained independence and control of Kazimierza Wielka, which was afterwards administratively located in the Kielce Voivodeship.
According to the 1921 census, Kazimierza Wielka with the adjacent manor farm had a population of 2,283, 88.6% Polish and 11.3% Jewish.
In 1956 Kazimierza Wielka County was created, and three years later, the village received its town rights.
