[9] McIntosh has coached cycling competitors who have won a combined total of ten gold medals at the Summer Paralympic Games.

[3] He also coached the Australian team at the 2006 International Paralympic Committee World Cycling Championships.

[16] In 2007, he was an assistant coach for the Australian team at the 2007 UCI Para-Cycling World Championships.

[17] In 2007, he was one of the national selectors for Cycling Australia's para-cycling program alongside Mark Fulcher and James Victor.

[17] In the ten (10) year period as Head Paralympic Cycling Coach, McIntosh overseen more than 100 Gold Medals at Paralympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships, Along with another 100 Silver and Bronze Medals.
