Kharibari CD block is a part of the Western Dooars, a physiographic region spread over the foothills of the Himalayas.
It is a plain land gently sloping from north to south, with an elevation varying from 80 m to 300 m.[1] The Mechi forms the international boundary with Nepal on the western side.

[9] According to the 2011 Census of India, the Kharibari CD block had a total population of 109,251, of which 97,399 were rural and 11,852 were urban.
