Khatayan (Persian: خطايان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Basharyat-e Sharqi Rural District of Basharyat District, Abyek County, Qazvin province, Iran.

[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 802 people in 270 households.

It was the most populous village in its rural district.
