Kiakola (Persian: كياكلا)[a] is a city in the Central District of Simorgh County, Mazandaran province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.
[4] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 7,364 in 1,980 households,[5] when it was capital of the former Kiakola District of Qaem Shahr County.
[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 8,040 people in 2,691 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Simorgh County.
Kiakola was transferred to the new Central District as the county's capital.
