Morgan and Mercedes are the only members to appear on all of Kittie's albums; their current lineup features guitarist Tara McLeod, who joined in 2005, and bassist Ivy Vujic, who played with the band from 2007 to 2012 before rejoining in 2022.
[1] The band has achieved most of its commercial successes in the United States compared to its home country; as of 2009, they have sold 60,000 albums in Canada.
In 1999, they released their self-titled debut extended play and signed to Ng Records after performing at the Canadian Music Week festival in March of that year.
[17] In 2009, they signed to eOne Music to release the album in North America, alongside a separate deal with Massacre Records for Europe.
[21] Due to rising costs associated with touring and writing new music and declining interest in the band's live shows,[27] Kittie entered a hiatus that lasted from 2017 to 2022.
