Download coordinates as: Kokotungo is a rural locality in the Shire of Banana, Queensland, Australia.
[1] The Dawson Valley (Theodore) railway line passes through the locality from the east (Goovigen) and travels slightly south-west across the locality passing through the three railway stations:[3] before exiting to the south-west (Baralaba).
[2][5] The section of the Dawson Valley railway line from Rannes to Baralaba (via Kokotungo) opened on 30 July 1917.
[9] It was on a 5-acre (2.0 ha) site on the southern side of the Baralaba Rannes Road (approx 24°08′07″S 150°00′14″E / 24.13523°S 150.00375°E / -24.13523; 150.00375 (Kokotungo State School (former))).
However, most of Kokotungo is too distant for a daily commute to Moura; the alternatives are distance education and boarding school.
