Krasnoarmeysk (Russian: Красноарме́йск) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, on the Vorya (Klyazma's tributary) 51 kilometers (32 mi) northeast of Moscow.
[8] The town grew from the village of Muromtsevo (Му́ромцево), where a textile factory was established in 1834.
[citation needed] Town status was granted to the settlement in 1947, when it was renamed Krasnoarmeysk.
[citation needed] Within the framework of administrative divisions, it is incorporated as Krasnoarmeysk Town Under Oblast Jurisdiction—an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.
There is an (infrequent) passenger service from Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow.
