Kristy Marmorato

Kristy Marmorato (née Rendino; born August 18, 1978)[1] is an American healthcare professional and politician from the neighborhood of Throggs Neck[2] in The Bronx, New York.

She grew up in Throggs Neck and as an adult lived in both Pelham Bay and Country Club.

[citation needed] In her 2023 campaign for the New York City Council, Marmorato ran on a tough-on-crime and anti-upzoning message.

[5][6] Observers at the time attributed Marmorato's victory in the race to Velazquez's support for the affordable housing project.

Marmorato said she supported the upzoning reform after fighting "tirelessly" to include less density and add parking minimums.
