Lakeview is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States.

[5] At the 2000 census there were 5,607 people, 1,525 households, and 1,287 families in the CDP.

The population density was 5,850.2 inhabitants per square mile (2,258.8/km2).

There were 1,569 housing units at an average density of 1,637.1 per square mile (632.1/km2).
