Lakhdenpokhsky District

Lakhdenpokhsky District (Russian: Лахденпо́хский райо́н; Finnish and Karelian: Lahdenpohjan piiri) is an administrative district (raion), one of the fifteen in the Republic of Karelia, Russia.

The area of the district is 2,200 square kilometers (850 sq mi).

Its administrative center is the town of Lakhdenpokhya.

[4] Within the framework of administrative divisions, Lakhdenpokhsky District is one of the fifteen in the Republic of Karelia[1] and has administrative jurisdiction over one town (Lakhdenpokhya) and fifty rural localities.

[6] The town of Lakhdenpokhya and one rural locality (the station of Yakkima) are incorporated into an urban settlement, while the remaining forty-nine rural localities are incorporated into four rural settlements within the municipal district.
