Lalgun is a village in Khatav taluka of Satara district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Later, during the reign of Chhatrapati Shahu-I, the Warghat Province from Wai to Kopal on the Tungabhadra was placed under Dattaji Pant Waknis.
Geomorphologically, Lalgun forms the part of Deccan Plateau, which is composed of basalt rock.
The Ner Dam on the Yerla River lies about 3 km south of Lalgun, and was completed in 1881.
The NH-548C Satara-Baitul National Highway connecting Satara passes at a distance of 8 km from Lalgun.
