Lamerd

Lamerd (Persian: لامرد)[a] is a city in the Central District of Lamerd County, Fars province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.

[5][6][7] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 21,365 in 4,921 households.

Tabnak, Homa, Shanol, Varavi are important local gas zones.

Lamerd International Airport opened in 1964, with flights to Tehran, Shiraz, Lar, Lavan and international flights to Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
