Lanare is a community and census-designated place (CDP) in Fresno County, California, United States.
Lanare is located 24 miles (39 km) south-southwest of Fresno,[7] at an elevation of 207 feet (63 m).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), all of it land.
The name honors Llewellyn A. Nares, who owned the Rancho Laguna de Tache Mexican land grant.
