[1] In 1961 the regiment arrived in Hilden, West Germany as part of the British Army of the Rhine.
[1] Shortly after Swaziland's first-ever elections in 1964, the regiment arrived in there to maintain order.
[1] The regiment remained in that country until early the following year when it returned to Britain, being based in Catterick.
[1] The following year the Lancashires again returned home to the United Kingdom.
[2] The Lancashire Infantry Museum is based at Fulwood Barracks in Preston.
