Lancelot Sanderson

Sir Lancelot Sanderson KC (24 October 1863 – 9 March 1944) was a British Conservative politician and judge.

[2] He was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for the Appleby division of Westmorland at the January 1910 general election, regaining a formerly Conservative seat which had been held by Liberal MPs since 1900.

[3] He was re-elected in the general election of December 1910, but resigned his seat[4] and recordership in October 1915, when he was appointed Chief Justice of the High Court of Judicature in Calcutta after Justice Lawrence Hugh Jenkins.

[7] He played two first-class matches; the first for Lancashire in 1884, and the second for the Marylebone Cricket Club four years later.
