He joined the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's ice hockey team in 2020.

[7] Slaggert also played for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (USNTDP) between 2018 and 2020, before playing for Team USA at the 2021 and 2022 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship.
