Laprak is situated in the Dharche Rural Municipality in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Province (previously Gandaki Zone) of northern-central Nepal.

Laprak is densely inhabited by Gurungs and few number of Sunars.

At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,165 and had 462 houses in the village.

Laprak village can be reached by direct bus transportation from Gorkha, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan except in rainy season.
