Larrie D. Ferreiro FRHistS is a naval architect and historian.
[1] He was born and raised on Long Island, New York, United States.
[3] He is currently director of research at the Defense Acquisition University in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Adjunct Professor of History at George Mason University.
He was previously a naval architect and systems engineer at the Office of Naval Research, Naval Sea Systems Command and US Coast Guard, and an exchange engineer with the French Navy.
[3] He was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in History for his book Brothers at Arms.
