As coach Lawrence Donald Bearnarth (September 11, 1940 – January 1, 2000) was an American relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the New York Mets (1963–66) and Milwaukee Brewers (1971).
Bearnarth batted and threw right-handed and was listed as 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and 203 pounds (92 kg).
He went to St. Peter's Boys High School on Staten Island[1] and played varsity basketball and baseball.
On December 31, 1999, he had a heart attack at his home in Florida, and died at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg the following day, at the age of 58.
Bearnarth was signed by the New York Mets in 1962 and went directly to the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs of the International League.
