Larry E. Greiner

Larry Eugene Greiner (December 6, 1933 – March 1, 2013) was an American economist who was Professor of Management and Organizations at University of Southern California USC Marshall School of Business.

[1] Greiner received a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas.

In 1958, Greiner entered Harvard Business School, where he received an MBA followed by a DBA in 1966.

[2] In 1972, Greiner proposed the Greiner's growth model, using five key concepts: the age of the organization, the size of the organization, the stage of evolution, the stage of revolution and the growth rate of the industry.

Greiner died in Los Angeles, California on March 1, 2013, at the age of 79.
