Lassan, Germany

Lassan is a town in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.

Both Anklam in the southwest and Wolgast in the north are approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Lassan.

Part of the municipality are also the villages of Pulow, Papendorf, Klein Jasedow and Waschow.

[5] Lassan was mentioned in written sources for the first time in 1136, when it was a German settlement with a castle.

Construction started around 1300 and the oldest parts are in a transitional style between Romanesque and Gothic.
